Juggling Parenting, Career progression, Professional qualification, Social life, Fitness and Blogging

9pm Tuesday night I am here planning my day tomorrow both work and home, now that its fresh in my mind, as a new blogger i really need to set up my content calendar to ensure i keep up with my baby project as i call it, but before i obliterate one needs to pack a gym kit for tomorrow, its legs day! love it,  black and white Nike trainners to match my gym outfit; goes without noting fashion is imperative (and don’t convince me otherwise!) Reflect to work one more time, I have been fortunate to land a big project that is crucial to my career advancement,I intend to impress the board and stake holders as well as my manager, so busy devising a strategy. College tomorrow night, lets not forget to sort my son’s dinner and who will pick him up from his Tennis match….

You get the picture from that snippet of my thoughts, enough is going on. Question is how do i get it all together? Well below are but a few of pointers that has helped me so far, please note I am not saying it’s always perfect and everything fit into place because it doesn’t and sometimes and end up missing or have to sacrifice one thing for the other, however, I frequently accomplish what has been set out to be attained.

  1. How badly do you want something?

I believe if you want something so bad then you will not rest until you achieve what you were after. I yearn for success not only financially but emotionally and socially. The journey to self growth and triumph is gratifying than the end goal in my opinion. Know what you want, build the hunger, now go and get it!

2.Create a plan and set out a time limit on each task.

Now that you know what you want, how are you going to get it? I set out daily plans, its encouraging to accomplish any set objectives, be it waking up at 6 and actually getting out of bed or working out 5 times a week as planned, what I am trying to say is start small on what you can achieve and as you smash your goals you will be discipline enough to tackle more challenging objectives you set out.

3. Time Management.

Once you say I don’t have time to do that then you will never have time for do it. Before I started training always convinced myself it will be impossible for me to be in full-time job, being a mother and go to the Gym, but that’s in the past,I work out minimum 5 times a week.  There was a free time in my lunch break so i decided to go to the gym at this time,  which means i still finish work and spend time with family. Time management is essential.

4. To do list!

I love this, I always have one on my fridge and on my desk at work as well as on my Blog diary. This ensures i don’t miss to do something. There is the feel of accomplishment when ticking the things you have concluded.

5. Learning from others

Find someone who has accomplished what you solicit, learn by watchin and if you can ask how they did  it what they recommend is also important as they will advise you on what worked for them and what to avoid saving you a mistake in the future.

6. Mentor

This is more career wise, when I started in my organisation they emphasised on the need to find a mentor. I have one, its has helped me excessively in many ways, i will probably have this as a topic in the near future.

7. Drop the guilt!

More common where you are trying to juggle work and family life. Working and providing for your family isn’t a bad thing, but try to find a balance.

8. Time for yourself

Having time to reflect and do what you want at your own time will only help you to distress and have more quality time with the loved one as well as having a clear mind on your path.

Ok I have exams to revise! Until Friday….Goodnight.

With Love

Very good article, I know from my own experience that if you want to start doing something like going to the gym for example, you’ll find time for it without sacrificing anything else, most important thing is to have a positive attitude, and don’t use excuses…
I’m waiting till Friday to read more, good luck with the exam Mo.
